Beijing OPPO Super Flagship Store is located in Beijing Wukesong Arena. As the designer of the project, DOMANI conceived a relatively free space that does not over-emphasize the magnificent design concept, but rather restores the human spirit. A natural relationship with the atmosphere.

Along the L-shaped path of the building’s exterior, space’s street-facing elevation is 12 m high, A multi-layered laminated insulating glass curtain wall with a thickness of 6.4cm creates a convexly curved volume that is accessed into the public space.

The project is located in a “sunken plaza”. Initially, in order to address the potential lack of light and the height limitation caused by the two-story structure, the designers chose to demolish most of the second-floor area, raising the height of the space to nearly 10 meters on a single level, expanding and enriching the perspective of the space.

Six 8-meter-tall LED screen modules were placed in the space to present a dynamic visual perception. The random movement of the mechanical modules enhances the flow of the presentation in the space.

A relative point of interest in the space is the interactive triggering device set up on the wall, which provides an interactive experience of seeing and hearing through the action of removing headphones.

The second floor is partially preserved to provide a service and communication environment, such as a maintenance department and after-sales service, according to the needs of different users.

As the third super-flagship store of DOMANI’s collaboration with OPPO, the designers attempted to create a relaxed state of mind in this project, and given these culturally charged times, they wanted to weaken the clear symbolic definitions in the space and present honest results with experience and rigorous logic.
